The Special Task Force (STF) of West Bengal Police conducted raids across multiple districts in the state and seized 10 firearms along with 150 rounds of ammunition. According to officials, six persons were arrested during the operation and will be produced before court in connection with the case.
Police said the seized weapons included eight 7 mm pistols among the total 10 firearms recovered during the raids. The operation was carried out as part of a special drive targeting illegal arms and ammunition networks operating in different parts of the state. Investigators are examining the source of the recovered weapons and the possible links between the arrested individuals.
Officials said the special drive is continuing in several districts and efforts are underway to recover more illegal weapons. Police teams are also carrying out further investigation based on information gathered during the raids and arrests.
